Sundays are a day to unwind and do - you. They’re special days to fill with activities or simply do nothing. Our favorite kinds of Sundays are the ones at home, and the best part about home is just that. It’s home. A space where little is expected and where you can lounge around all day, feel lazy, judgment free. Cozy up on the couch or cook up a delectable meal that warms up the house and fills it with wonderful smells. We want everyone to love home as much as we do, which is why we’ve come up with 10 perfect ways to enjoy your home-base:

  1. Sleep in - what better way to start the day than to really soak up & catch up on all the Zs. When waking up early is a regular Monday through Friday, treat yourself to extra sleep on the weekend because as we know, sleep is SO important and good for your overall health.
  2. Cozy up with a new book - reading never goes out of style. Plus, studies show that reading for pleasure is good for your mental health. With so much going on during the workweek, get inspired and lost in a novel that keeps you turning the pages, keeps your mind off the daily, and your stress levels low.
  3. Gentle exercise - yoga is a great way to get the most out of your day. The health benefits are immeasurable and the best part is that you control the intensity. No need for a studio membership when there are so many virtual or multiple on-demand options. Or opt for a 30-minute walk while listening to a good podcast. 
  4. Try out a new recipe - If you’re like us, you’ve probably put off opening that cute cookbook you got as a gift. Well, lazy Sundays are the perfect opportunity to crack open that book, wander around the grocery store for the ingredients you never bought before and get at it! Your taste buds will thank you.
  5. Watch a movie-marathon - here’s your opportunity to become the movie buff you never were. Catch that new flick, opt for a classic or pick the oldie, feel-goodie.
  6. Brunch it up - invite a few friends over and host a scrumptious brunch with easy eggs, waffles and pancakes. Of course it’s a fantastic excuse to pop the bubbly and sip some mimosa.
  7. Clean out your closet - we fully recognize this can be a hard thing to do as it’s hard to part ways with sentimental pieces, but imagine how much room you’ll make for brand new adorable T shirts.
  8. Get gardening - spending time outdoors, in the sun, enjoying fresh air - you’ll have a green thumb in no time. The great thing about gardening is that it not only reduces stress but it also blooms into a beautiful space that you can enjoy any day of the week.
  9. Start a DIY or home improvement project - Sundays are perfect for interruption-free hours to start or finish any project. You can start small and have something to look forward to as you come back each week and watch it all come together.
  10. Beautify - Try a new face mask or new nail polish. Treat your hair to a deep moisturizing hair mask. Open up that scented decor soap or lotion and indulge. Sundays are perfect spa days.
